Head of Design, STUDIO 59 (The National Lottery - Allywyn)
About the Role
Allwyn UK is hiring a Head of Design to lead creative output across Studio 59, its in-house agency for The National Lottery.
This role is responsible for driving design excellence, owning the visual identity across campaigns, content and experiences, and building scalable systems that enable high-quality creative delivery at pace. You’ll sit at the centre of brand, creative and production, ensuring consistency while evolving the design capability of the team.
What You’ll Do
Lead and champion design excellence across Studio 59
Own the visual expression of The National Lottery brand across all channels
Develop and maintain a central design system to ensure consistency and scalability
Oversee design toolkits, templates and modular systems for efficient content creation
Translate brand strategy and creative ideas into high-quality design output
Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Production and Delivery teams to ensure alignment
Lead and develop the design team, setting standards and supporting growth
Implement scalable design processes to support high-volume content production
Act as final design authority, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance
Integrate new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted design processes
Who This Is For
Senior design leaders with experience in agency or in-house creative environments
Designers with a strong background in brand-led work across multiple platforms
Professionals experienced in building and governing design systems at scale
Leaders confident managing and developing creative teams
Strong collaborators with experience working across cross-functional teams
