Senior Programming Producer, NATIONAL THEATRE
About the Role
The National Theatre is looking for a Senior Programming Producer to join their Digital team. This is a senior-level role where you’ll help shape and deliver the National’s digital output, from NT Live to NT at Home and beyond.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Programming, leading on projects, managing relationships, and making sure productions are delivered smoothly from start to finish. If you love theatre, film, and digital storytelling, and know how to bring big ideas to life, this is for you.
What You’ll Do
Lead and deliver digital productions across platforms like NT Live and NT at Home
Work closely with the Head of Programming on strategy and execution
Oversee contracts for artists, co-producers, and third-party rights (music, images, etc.)
Support and guide a team of producers to deliver high-quality work
Manage multiple projects at once, keeping timelines and priorities on track
Build strong relationships across creative and commercial teams
Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the Programming team
Who This Is For
You’ve worked as a Lead Producer (or similar) in theatre, film, or TV
You’ve handled contract negotiations and stakeholder management
You’ve managed teams and know how to get the best out of people
You can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball
You’ve taken projects from idea to execution successfully
You’re strategic but also detail-oriented
Bonus If You Have
Experience working across digital distribution or streaming platforms
Strong knowledge of rights, licensing, and production contracts
A passion for expanding access to theatre through digital
