Creative Director, DUOLINGO

About the Role

Duolingo is hiring a Senior Creative Director to lead the creative vision behind its global brand and marketing campaigns.

Reporting directly to the CMO, this role will oversee creative across brand marketing, social, partnerships, experiential campaigns and user acquisition. You’ll lead creative teams and agency partners globally, shaping culturally relevant campaigns that drive both brand love and measurable business growth. This is a senior leadership role for someone with a strong track record building iconic, culture-driving campaigns across global markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead creative strategy across all marketing functions at Duolingo

  • Set and maintain a high creative standard across campaigns, storytelling and brand execution

  • Manage and mentor creative leaders and multidisciplinary teams

  • Develop integrated campaign concepts across social, video, partnerships and experiential

  • Partner closely with Brand, Growth, Product and International Marketing teams

  • Lead and evolve Duolingo’s global agency relationships and creative workflows

  • Drive creative decisions that support business goals, KPIs and growth

  • Oversee creative feedback, approvals and execution from concept to launch

  • Identify emerging cultural trends, platforms and creator opportunities

  • Help define what “on-brand” means for Duolingo globally
