To support the Womenswear Merchandising team to maximise trading performance and exceed sales, profit and stock sell through targets through effective inventory management, forecasting and analysis.
Contribute to weekly trading reviews of sales, margin and stock against category KPIs to identify any issues and opportunities.
Involved in Seasonal Fashion buys, working closely with buying team and presenting the range for review to senior management.
Present seasonal product focuses to other departments in the business
Forecasting on the WSSI for review in monthly reforecast meetings with Director
Maintain and updating the WSSI to manage the intake and category stock position
Use WW continuity line cards for ordering and forecasting
Work with the Branch Team to control inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to make sure stock is in the right place at the right time to drive the highest sell through and maximise gross margin
Tracking Open to Buy to manage in season trading and optimising product opportunities
Responsible for sizing analysis across Fashion and Continuity
Provide detailed hindsight on category performance working alongside buying team to identify opportunities to improve future assortments
Building Monthly Directive packs for stores and VM teams
Responsible for maintaining attributes in order to provide accurate weekly/monthly and quarterly analysis on specific product groups
Manage and develop junior team members.
Develop current systems and processes that are in place and be instrumental in implementing best practices.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?
An existing Assistant Merchandiser
Previous experience working in fashion retail merchandising and on multiple product categories
Able to demonstrate commercial aptitude and a pragmatic approach to working
Strong analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail
Good judgement and decision making skills
Strong organisational skills, able to use initiative, and be agile in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
Able to effectively communicate at all levels and in a professional manner.
Advanced Excel skills with strong ability to manipulate data and produce reports accurately and efficiently at ease.
Excellent time management and organisational skills whilst able to prioritise workload accordingly. Ability to meet deadlines
